Population with disabilities
POPULATION WITH DISABILITIES In Nepāl, out of the total population of 29,164,578, it appears that 2.2 percent have some form of disability. By constituency, the three constituencies with the highest proportion of persons with disabilities are Jājarakoṭ 1, Myāgdī 1, and Manāṅ 1, where 4.9, 4.8, and 4.7 percent of the total population, respectively, appear to have a disability. These disability prevalence rates appear to be about 2.5 percentage points higher than the national average. In Bārā 2 only 1% of total population have disability. To show these disability types effectively on a thematic map, we have categorized the disability types into 5 functional categories: Physical and physiological - it includes "phisical disability" and "Hemophilia" impacting mobility, physical functioning, or chronic physical health conditions.
